Program Evaluation and Reporting System (PEARS)
CalFresh Healthy Living, UC (CFHL, UC) uses PEARS to report all program delivery data. The statewide use of PEARS helps coordinate data collection on SNAP-Ed programming to ensure data quality and consistency. The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) oversees the data system and provides basic training to all PEARS Users in California.
New PEARS User Information
When you join UCCE, your supervisor works with the State Office to add you to PEARS. A “Welcome Email” is sent from the PEARS system that you can use to set up your password and finalize creation of your new account.

If you are unsure which trainings are applicable to your work, please connect with your supervisor or manager.
- PEARS Database Training Participant's Guide - CDSS’s training manual with sections for each PEARS module
- PEARS Learning Management System (LMS) - online learning platform to register for live PEARS trainings and access recordings. If you encounter any difficulties accessing and/or navigating the LMS, please contact cce-pearslms@csus.edu for additional information.

PEARS Data Submission & Review Timeline
This is the timeline CFHL, UC has established for entering data on a quarterly basis into PEARS. The CFHL, UC State Office will review and provide summary reports of PEARS data to LIA's quarterly.

All programmatic data should be entered into PEARS as it occurs throughout the fiscal year, or as soon as possible. The last day to enter new data into PEARS has typically been just a few days after the end of the fiscal year (September 30)
